About the Host

Hi, we're Julio and Ingrid. We are a Costa Rican couple who have been together for more than a decade and have spent those years creating eco-friendly homes and apartments for people looking to enjoy the best of Guanacaste. Julio is a mechanical engineer from the Central Valley, and Ingrid is a preschool teacher from Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. What brought us together is a shared love of nature, simple living, family, travel, and the outdoors. Our journey started by building Sweet Conchal, our 4 unit property next to the Reserva Conchal forest and grew into Dulce Brasilito Eco Village, a place we designed around the idea that people should live surrounded by gardens, trees, birds, butterflies, and fresh air—not parking lots and traffic. Cars stay at the entrance, while the homes are connected by lush green trails, small pools, and shared areas where residents can relax and connect with nature. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We compost, we kept the native trees and planted fruit trees, enrich the soil through carbon capture, and reuse greywater to irrigate our gardens—an important practice in Guanacaste's tropical dry climate. We are located in the heart of the Gold Coast, between Tamarindo and Las Catalinas, minutes to some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches like Conchal and Flamingo and all the services you need for comfortable long-term living. Rather than maximizing rent, our goal is to create a community of people who appreciate nature, a healthy lifestyle, and a relaxed pace of life. We keep our prices fair because we value finding residents who will enjoy and care for this special places.
